Mrs. Marilyn D. Heiden, 64, Rochester, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at Center For Hospice of South Bend.
On March 6, 1951, Marilyn D. Schultz was born in Mishawaka. She spent her youth there and in 1969, with great pride, Marilyn graduated from Mishawaka High School. Many will remember her years working at Torx. Later she began a career in health care working as a CNA for many nursing homes around our area.
An avid reader, Marilyn especially enjoyed mysteries and romance. She loved heading over to the New Paris Speedway to watch the races. Demolition derbies were fun to attend with her family. Watching Dale Earnhardt Jr. and NASCAR was her favorite type of racing. Her most watched TV shows were the Cooking Channel and Rehab Addicts.
As the matriarch of her family, Grandma Marilyn was passionate about spending time with her grandchildren. There was nothing better than visits from the members of the terrific ten, spoiling them and making memories.
Marilyn is lovingly remembered by four daughters: Catherine (fiance Brandon Perry) Heiden; Robin (Fiance Daryl Jacobs) Owens, Macy; Jennifer (fiance Brian Kerr) Duff; Brooklynn Heiden; Charlotte Heiden, Rochester; and a son: Christopher Trigg, Rochester; ten grandchildren: Zane Duff; Kaitlynd Heiden-Moore; Abby Owens; DakotaLynn Duff; Braydon Duff; Christopher Figlio; Samantha Jacobs; Jordan Lynn Heiden; Conner Jacobs; and Kaiden Heiden.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter: Allison Owens in 2007.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Good Family Funeral Home.
