Rachael J. (Cochran) Swango, 68, Rochester, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at Kindred Hospital Northern Indiana, Mishawaka.

She was born on Sept. 19, 1947, in LaPorte, the daughter of Don and Helen Irene (Heflick) Cochran. On June 6, 1997, in Tippecanoe, she married Milo E. ‘Joe” Swango. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2001.

Mrs. Swango had worked for McDonald’s restaurant for many years.

Survivors include her son: Troy Allan Cochran, Rochester; brothers: Donald Cochran Jr., Rochester; Jack Cochran, Rochester; Andrew Cochran, Rochester; Anthony “Tony” Cochran, Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Karen Cochran.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Friends may visit from Noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
