Patrick Thomas O’Brien, 68, of Bremen, passed away at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, in his home. Patrick was born on May 30, 1947, the son of the late Thomas H. and Paulette S. O’Brien.

He is survived by his wife: Cynthia O’Brien, Bremen; two children: Megan O’Brien; Patrick T. (Jessica) O’Brien Jr., both of San Diego, Calif.; three stepchildren: Kimberly (Aron) Leeper, Bremen; Jodi (Jon) Feldman, Bremen; and Troy Young, currently stationed in Iwakuni, Japan; and two grandchildren: Patrick T. O’Brien III; and Daisy. He is also survived by four siblings: Ann (Dale) Edgerinton, Frederick, Mass.; Kitty Nichols, Mass.; John O’Brien, Va.; and Daniel O’Brien, of W. Va. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Molly O’Brien; and brother: Robert O’Brien.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, in Tree of Life Anglican Church, South Bend. Rev. Heather Ghormley will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the church in Patrick’s honor. Mishler Funeral Homes is in charge of the arrangements.
