Edward Warren
Edward Warren, 96 of Warsaw, passed away at 3:05 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2015, in Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw.
On Dec. 24, 1918, he was born in Kosciusko County, to Ora Edward and Julia (Laughlin) Warren. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Ellen Long on April 15, 1953, in Columbia City, who preceded him in death on Nov. 17, 1999.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Edward worked in construction as a carpenter before working for Warsaw Foundry until his retirement at the age of 67. He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army, where he received a Bronze Star. Edward also was a member of American Legion Post #49, the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge all of Warsaw.
He is survived by four daughters: Barbara Kiem, Warsaw; Gloria (Clayton) Kerchenfaut, Warsaw; Sharon King, Bluffton; and Alice Marshall, Warsaw; his son: Matt Gibson, Warsaw; his sister: Irene Bules, Fla.; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandhcildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Christy Kerchenfaut.
Services will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund, Warsaw, or to Kosciusko County Homecare and Hospice, Warsaw.
