IPFW Programs Ranked Among Best In Country

FORT WAYNE — In its recently released rankings of the best colleges and universities in the United States, “U.S. News and World Report” deemed several programs at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne to be among the best in the country.

Those programs are:

  • No. 34 for online bachelor’s program (tied with Ball State; IU Bloomington was No. 72
  • No. 58 for engineering where a doctorate is not offered (tied with Purdue Calumet; Trine was No. 114, Indiana Institute of Technology and Taylor tied at No. 134)
  • No. 129 for graduate nursing (Ball State was No. 152)
  • No. 149 for graduate public affairs (tied with Indiana State University and Oakland University; Ball State was unranked

“Congratulations to our faculty, students and staff,” said IPFW Chancellor Vicky Carwein. “This is a wonderful recognition of their efforts and a positive reflection on our university.”

The “U.S. News and World Report” listings also underscored the affordability of IPFW’s degree programs.

“Our engineering programs are not only affordable but also have a very dedicated faculty that strives to provide an excellent education, ensuring that our students graduate on time and go on to get well-paying jobs in the industry or be admitted into prestigious graduate schools,” said Carlos Pomalaza-Ráez, interim dean of the College of Engineering, Technology and Computer Science.
