Norsemen Can’t Keep Up With Wildcats
WABASH – The Whitko football team enjoyed a big win Friday night.
The Wildcats traveled to Wabash to take on Northfield and handed the Norsemen their first physical defeat on the gridiron, 19-7. The Norsemen were 7-0 after last Friday’s game but have since had to forfeit four wins due to an ineligible player.
Hunter Reed led the Whitko offensive attack with three rushing scores. Reed averaged over four yards per carry and finished his night with 150 yards on the ground. Conner Sherwin and Garrett Smiley led the Wildcats on defense with four tackles each.
Whitko (4-4, 3-3) will host Peru (7-1, 5-1) in the TRC Playoff next Friday at 7 p.m.
