Walter Westerman, 83 of Warsaw, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Thursday Oct. 8, 2015 in Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. He was born on Aug. 14, 1932 to Walter Sr. and Pauline (Kauffman) Westerman in Warsaw.

Walter was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 49 and the Moose Lodge all of Warsaw.

He is survived by his children: Mary (Larry) Glass, Urbana, Ohio; Betty Westerman, Fort Wayne; Paula Bryie, Mishawaka; and Johnny (Londa) Lewis, Warsaw; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Vera Sittler of Greer, S.C.; and Sarah (Gary) Lichtenwalter Mann, Faxwell, Mich. 

He was preceded in death by his dear girlfriend, Betty Shaw.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating.

Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green.
