Fall-Break-LCABy SCOTT WILEY,

WARSAW — Have you ever wondered what a school day at Lakeland Christian Academy is like? Have you ever thought, “I wish I (or my child) could visit LCA without having to miss classes at our current school?”    Well now you can do just that.

Lakeland Christian Academy is hosting its second annual “Fall Break Day at LCA” Wednesday, Oct. 21. LCA is inviting all 6-12 grade students and their parents to join us for an inside look at LCA during the public schools fall break.

Your child will shadow a Lakeland student from 8 a.m. to noon. You will see the difference between a large and small school to see which one is right for you. You will be able to see the positive way our students treat each other. You will be able to attend classes and see just how high the academic standards are at LCA. In addition, you will see the difference it makes to have those subjects taught from a Christian perspective.

You will have the opportunity to attend a student led chapel and worship service, eat lunch with the students, and even be given the opportunity to attend an LCA Indiana High School Athletic Association event of your choice.

As well as attend classes, worship services, lunch and athletic events there will also be a break out session to answer any questions. This session will have parents, students, administrators, and teachers present to answer any and all questions that you may have about an education at LCA, including our academic standards, college course offerings, the use of School Choice vouchers, financial aid and more.

This all takes place on Oct. 21, and is totally free. It is open to all families, students and church youth groups with students in grades 6 through 12.  This will be a fun and enlightening day for all.

Please try to attend. This one day may change the life of your child (and your family) forever. Some parents’ mindset is that they will wait until college to send their children to a Christian school; however, that seems backwards. Our children are in their formative years and are most impressionable in 7-12 grades. Wouldn’t it be even more important to attend a Christian school when you are young?

As it says in Proverbs 22:6, “Start Children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” (NIV)

Give Lakeland Christian a try; it might be the perfect fit for your family.  For more details please check out our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LakelandChristianAcademy.
