Vikings Fall On Road At Rochester
ROCHESTER – The Tippecanoe Valley football team came up just short in a 17-10 loss at Rochester Friday night.
The host Zebras scored all 17 points in the opening half en route to winning the rivalry Three Rivers Conference contest.
Rochester led 7-0 after the opening quarter and 17-7 at halftime. The Vikings added a field goal in the final period for the final.
Alec Craig was 7-15 passing for 76 yards for the Vikings, including a touchdown toss to Rigo Butler.
Brandon Webster led the rushing attack for Valley with 12 carries for 96 yards. Garrett Bell had six attempts for 66 yards and Aric Shafer seven rushes for 30 yards. Craig had 14 attempts for 19 yards with Desean Heckman gaining 10 yards on three carries and Garrett Feldman four on three.
Butler had three receptions for 32 yards and Webster had two catches for 29 yards. Hickman had one catch for eight yards and Jarod Duzenbery one for seven.
Luca Jeckstadt connected on a 30-yard field goal for the Vikings.
Valley drops to 2-5 overall and 2-5 in the TRC. Rochester improves to 3-4 overall and 3-2 in league play.
The Vikings plays at Wabash and Rochester travels to Manchester in conference play next Friday night.
