Rochester Tops Valley In Frosh Football Action

Tippy Valley SportsAKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley freshman football team lost a 30-16 final to Rochester Thursday night.

The Zebras led 24-8 at halftime en route to the Three Rivers Conference win.

Jonathon Fields led the way for Valley. Fields had 12 carries for 147 yards with two touchdowns and a  two-point conversion for the Vikings.

Jon Humes had six rushes for 24 yards and Alex Morrison five rushes for eight yards and a two-point conversion. Camden Tucker had one carry for eight yards.

Alex Morrison had a fumble recovery and an interception for Valley. Austin Vining had five solo tackles and seven assists, Jonathan Daily three tackles and five assists, Jon Humes three tackles and four assists and Dwight Conley three tackles and four assists. Daily and Humes also had a tackle for a loss and Morrison had a tackle and an assist.

Valley, now 1-5, will host Wabash on Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m.
