North Webster Library Welcomes New Clerks

NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library has added two new clerks to its staff. Cathy Ervin has accepted the position of youth services clerk, while Amy Dennis will be serving as a clerk in the circulation department.
As youth services clerk, Ervin will be responsible for checking out and shelving books and materials, assisting with programs, helping patrons and other assigned duties. She is experienced working with children, having been a school bus driver for over 20 years with the West Noble School Corporation before retiring in 2009. Prior to joining the library staff, she served in the activities department and later as payroll coordinator for an area healthcare facility. “I have an avid love for reading and children. I look forward to coming to work every day,” stated Ervin.
In the circulation department, Dennis’ responsibilities will include checking out and shelving books and materials, assisting patrons, and creating displays among other duties. Dennis is a graduate of Purdue University and has been involved in the operation of Quaker Haven Camp and Retreat Center on Dewart Lake where her husband is director. “I’ve always been a regular library patron. I love the atmosphere and the books,” claims Dennis.
“We welcome Cathy and Amy to our staff. I know they will be a valuable asset to the Library and our patrons,” stated Library Director Helen Leinbach.
