Frances Ruth Geiselman, 93, lifetime resident of Culver, died at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2015.

Frances was a well-known and loved resident of Culver, always with a witty sense of humor and a joke for any occasion. She was a loving wife and mother, married to Ralph Geiselman for more than 70 years. She was a long-time member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Culver, where her mother had been the church pianist while the church was at the Main Street location. She was a member of the UMW there.

Frances and Ralph donated their time for several years delivering “Meals on Wheels” to shut-in residents of Culver. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and along with her husband, she was a proud and committed supporter of labor unions. She worked during the war at a lunch counter in South Bend, and later for several years in the laundry at the Culver Academies. She enjoyed many years in retirement traveling with Ralph, especially to Branson, Mis.

Frances is survived by son: Edward (Cindy); granddaughter: Garianna; and grandson: Grant. She was preceded in death by husband: Ralph; and son: Scott.

The funeral will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Culver, on Saturday, Oct. 10. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will be private. Odom Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
