AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School volleyball and football teams each competed in recent contests.

The Valley 7th grade volleyball A team beat Plymouth 25-14, 25-21. The 7th grade B team topped Plymouth 15-25, 25-20, 15-9.

The Valley 8th grade volleyball A team lost to Plymouth 25-8, 25-17. The 8th grade B team lost to Plymouth 25-11, 25-20, 15-12.

The Valley 7th grade football team beat Whitko 34-6. Gonzalez led the winners with 108 yards rushing and four touchdowns, while Craft added 73 yards and one score.

The Valley 8th grade football team defeated Whitko 20-0. Jace Potter led the winners with a rushing touchdown and five receptions for 111 yards. Tanner Trippiedi had two carries for 31 yards and a touchdown, while Dakota Gaff had 11 rushes for 43 yards and Jalen Potter a reception for 37 yards and a touchdown.

Jasten Snapp had an interception and a fumble recovery and Trippiedi an interception to pace the defense.

The Valley 6th grade volleyball A team beat Mentone 25-11, 25-15. Brianna Sheetz had 10 aces and Brayden Baney four passes. The B team topped Mentone 25-19, 25-5. Mallory Bowers had seven aces and Sarah Kelley had two passes.

The A team also beat Rochester 25-11, 25-14. Mallory Durkes had nine aces and Sydney Peterson two passes. The B team topped Rochester 25-11, 25-19. Mallory Bower had three aces and Chloe Shephard two passes.
