Tippy Valley SportsThe Tippecanoe Valley boys tennis team suffered a 4-1 loss to Manchester Thursday night.

The Squires lost a total of just two games on the doubles courts to highlight the Three Rivers Conference win over the Vikings.

Keith Wright collected the lone win for Valley. Wright topped Parker Wagoner 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

Max Karg of the Squires stopped Trevor Neeley 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Spence Trick of Manchester won 6-4, 6-3 over Nick Caudill at No. 3 singles.

The pair of Noah Cain and Matthew Pegg won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles over the Valley team of Dakota Parker and Seth Hoffman.

Manchester also won the No. 2 doubles match as Heath Dierks and Luke Donathan defeated Kane Steller and Eric Wright 6-1, 6-1.

Football C Team Rolls To Win

Jonathon Fields had a big game as the Valley C football team blanked Manchester 36-0.

Fields rushed for 122 yard and had two touchdowns and a pair of two-point conversions in the win.

Alex Morrison and Sam Bell each had one touchdown for the Vikings. Jon Humes had six rushes for 42 yards and Alex Bell three carries for 15 yards. Jon Humes had a two-point conversion reception.

Morrison returned an interception for a touchdown to lead the defense. Chris Secrist also had an interception and Jonathan Daily and Jameson Baker were top tacklers.

Valley, now 1-4, will host Rochester on Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m.
