Sandhill-cranesMEDARYVILLE — If you enjoy birding there is a great event set to take place at the end of Oct. The employees at Jasper-Pulaski state Game Preserve invites the public to come see over a thousand Sandhill Cranes dancing, eating and preening at dusk Saturday, Oct. 24. 

They ask that you bring a sack lunch for an evening dinner during which handmade snacks will be provided. Dress appropriately for seasonal weather and bring your binoculars.  Departure time for the event is at 3:30 p.m. from Bendix Woods County Park. Estimated return time is 8:30 p.m. Note that there is a short walking distance to the observation platform.

Registration and payment required by Oct. 19. Price for this event is $8 per person.
