Boys Cross Drops Two
The Warrior harriers had a rough night at Oxbow Tuesday. Wawasee did not place any runners inside the top 10 against Northern Lakes Conference foes Northridge and Concord.
Luke Griner paced Wawasee with an 11th pace finish (18:16) while Ben Hoffert (18:41) and Sam Griner (18:49) were the only other two Warrior to finish in the top 20. Braxton Alexander (19:26), Jaxon Bame (19:34) and Logan Brugh (21:56) rounded out the times for Wawasee.
Wawasee will run at the CMA Invite this Saturday.
Oxbow Trips Up Lady Harriers
As go the boys, so go the girls, apparently.
Tuesday meet was described as “not a good night” by head coach Doug Slabaugh. His girls took losses to both Concord and Northridge. Aubrey Kuhn paced the ladies with her time of 21:02, placing her seventh.
McKenzie Smith ran a PR with her time of 21:15, that placed her ninth. Elizabeth Zorn (21:59), Yanelly Pizana (23:04), Bailey Schroeder (23:26) and Delanie Bame (23:55) were the other Warriors with top 30 times. Bame’s time was a season best.
Wawasee will run at the CMA Invite this Saturday.
Soccer Team Falls To Northridge
The girls soccer team suffered a 9-0 defeat at the hands of Northridge Tuesday evening The Raiders scored three goals in the first four minutes of the game to highlight the victory.
Wawasee’s short-handed JV team fell 6-0.
Wawasee (3-8-1) will host Plymouth Thursday night.
