AKRON — The Tippecanoe Valley High School American studies class is hosting several fundraising activities from 6-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, before and during the Homecoming football game versus Manchester High School to raise funds for Prill School.

Activities will include a chili dinner in the high school commons before the game and a dunk tank during the game, with faculty and administration occupying the tank. Cost is a freewill donation.

Prill School is an 1850’s, one-room schoolhouse in Fulton County and is a forerunner of the Tippecanoe Valley school district. The American studies class has been working with the Prill School advisory board to preserve the building.  Each spring, the class also hosts Pioneer Day at Prill School for Mentone and Akron fourth-grade classes. Funds raised during the homecoming events will be used to put a new roof on Prill School and to conduct future pioneer day activities.
