Earl Dean Helmuth, 24, Nappanee, died at 6:31 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, in Michigan City, as a result of a drowning accident.

He was born March 11, 1991, in Nappanee to Walter Ray and Barbara Sue (Hochstetler) Helmuth. Earl Dean was a lifetime area resident and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He had worked at Keystone in Goshen.

Surviving are his parents: Walter Ray and Barbara Sue Helmuth, Nappanee; Fiancee: Nora Jean Lehman, Shipshewana; brothers: Aaron Dale; Jesse Wayne; Matthew Jon; Marcus Ray Helmuth; all at home; sisters: Mary Esther; Hannah Ruth; Carrie Jo Helmuth; all at home; and grandparents: Lester and Esther (Hochstetler) Helmuth, Nappanee. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Tobias M. and Fannie Mae Hochstetler.

Family and friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, and all day Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the family residence. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Marvin Ray Miller residence, Etna Green. The Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate. Burial will be in Graber Cemetery.

Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
