Triton SportsCULVER – The wait was not worth it for the Triton football team.

The Trojans returned to Culver Saturday evening and dropped a 19-0 final to the host Cavaliers in Hoosier Athletic Conference play.

The game had been stopped Friday night in the first quarter due to weather with Culver leading 6-0. The contest was eventually postponed to Saturday.

Culver outgained the Trojans 315-135 in total yards, including rushing for 296 in the win.

Culver tallied a pair of first-quarter touchdowns and added a final score in the third period of the shutout victory.

Quarterback Jordan Anderson was 5-11 passing for 47 yards for Triton, which lost its fourth straight game.

Jeremy Jones rushed for 51 yards on 11 carries for the Trojans. Drew Stichter had two receptions for 23 yards.

Triton (1-4, 1-3) will play at Winamac and Culver (2-3, 2-2) will host Knox next Friday night.
