Elizabeth - 7th grade champions - Sept. 2015, NELMSC — The seventh grade Edgewood volleyball champions are, in front from left, Elizabeth Schmidt, Betty Barnett, Allison Zartman and Kensie Ryman. In the back row are Lindsey Bradley, Loundia Helser, coach Sam Wysong, Izzy Hamill, Annie Burnett, Kendra Love, Brooklyn Fitzgerald, Kendra Kline, Evyn Mangun, Sydney, Kennedy Lauck and Anadely Climaco.

WARSAW – The Edgewood seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams claimed NELMSC volleyball championships in tournaments played Saturday at Warsaw Community High School.

The seventh grade Edgewood volleyball team defeated Milford 25-9 and 25-7; Huntington Riverview 25-16 and 25-15; Bremen 25-14 and 25-10 and in the championship defeated Wawasee 25-12 and 25-15. The seventh grade team is 12-1 on the season and are coached by Sam and Michelle Wysong.

The eighth grade Edgewood volleyball team defeated Milford 25-10 and 25-0; Huntington Riverview 25-24 and 25-17, Bremen 25-11 and 25-15. For the second year in a row, Edgewood defeated Lakeview 25-20 and 25-14 in the championship. The eighth grade team is 13-0 on the year and are coached by Bethany Tribbett.
