WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools announced that Cathy Suhany, WCS school psychologist, has been named IASP School Psychologist of the Year by the Indiana Association of School Psychologists in a ceremony, held Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Indianapolis.

Suhany completed her school psychology training at Ball State University and holds her IDOE school psychology license, independent practice endorsement and Nationally Certified School Psychologist designation. She has been with WCS since 1990.

Her nominators noted that her leadership skills have enhanced the quality of special education services in the schools she serves in WCS. A fellow school psychologist said Suhany serves as the facilitator for the North Central Indiana Special Education Cooperative’s School Psychology Study Council, is knowledgeable and quick to identify new resources to help the district meet the needs of the students.
