AKRON – A closely-contested boys tennis match went to Maconaquah over Tippecanoe Valley Wednesday evening.

The Braves won two singles matches and prevailed in three sets at No. 1 doubles to edge the Vikings 3-2 in Three Rivers Conference play.

Trevor Neeley won 6-2, -5 at No. 1 singles for Valley.

The Vikings also got a win from the team of Eric Wright and Kane Steller at No. 2 doubles by a 6-4, 6-2 final.

Keith Wright and Nick Caudill lost in straight sets at No. 2 and 3 singles respectively for the Vikings. The team of Dakota Parker and Seth Hoffman lost 4-6, 7-5, 4-6 at No. 1 doubles.

Parkur Dalrymple won in junior varsity singles action for the Vikings.
