LAPORTE – The NorthWood girls golf team tuned up for postseason play in impressive fashion Wednesday evening.

Linnzie Richner led the way as the No. 19 Panthers completed their second straight undefeated regular season in 9-hole matches.

Richner earned medalist honors with a 40 as NorthWood defeated Penn and host LaPorte at the Beechwood Golf Club.

The Panthers finished with a team score of 180. Penn came in at 183 and LaPorte at 211.

Summer Stillson had a 44 and Mackenzie Weaver a 46 for NorthWood. Madison Richner shot a 50 and Abby Slabaugh a 51 for the winners.

Cassidy Jurkaites led Penn with a 42 and Andi Sandler had a 43 for the Kingsmen.

Bethany Schuster finished with a 47 to lead LaPorte.

NorthWood, which finished at 12-0 for 9-hole matches, will compete in the Warsaw Sectional on Saturday at the Stonehenge Golf Club in Winona Lake.
