Roger Allen PaysenRoger Allen Paysen, 69, Silver Lake, walked into the waiting arms of Jesus on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at his home.

He was born May 11, 1946, in Celina, Ohio, to Harold and Elnora (Fleming) Paysen, and was a 1964 graduate of Celina High School, Celina. He served in the United States Navy, during Vietnam. On Sept. 26, 1970, he married Kathie Stone, in Warsaw. He worked 25 years for Zimmer, retiring in April as a polisher.

Roger was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, taught adult Sunday School class, loved his lab, patches, and spending time with his wife whom he loved the most.

He is survived by his wife: Kathie Paysen, Silver Lake; three sons: Chad (Ashley) Paysen, Osceola; Ryan (Aimee) Paysen, Jacksonville, Fla.; Travis Paysen, Seattle, Wash.; daughter: Stephanie Payesen, Warsaw; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; family friend: Fred Rosbrugh, Columbia City; two brothers: Ken (Wilma) Paysen, North Carolina; Richard (Ann) Paysen, Columbus, Ohio; sister: Carol Elder, Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16. Pastor Glenn Hughes, from Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, and Rev. Bob Brown, from God’s Highway to Heaven, will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Memorials can be made to Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.

Titus Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
