AKRON — The eight-member 2015 Tippecanoe Valley High School Distinguished Alumni class was honored Thursday evening, Sept. 10, during a formal dinner at Tippecanoe Valley Middle School. Induction Day is Friday, Sept. 11, at Tippecanoe Valley High School. The inductees will gather for a “Welcome Breakfast” where each inductee will be introduced to their student liaison for the day.
Following the breakfast each inductee will make four separate presentations in which they will share with students about the career and life experiences that led to their selection. Included in each presentation will be information about the inductee’s time as a student at TVHS and how their high school experiences impacted their future. The inductees will spend the student lunch periods in the cafeteria interacting with small groups and individual students.
In the afternoon individual interviews will be conducted and recorded by Rochester Telephone Company for future showing on RTC’s local community cable television station. The final event of induction day will be when the inductees are honored at halftime of the home football game, where each will be presented a beautiful commemorative plaque.
This year’s inductees include Marilyn (Earl) McDonald, Aura Strohschein, Elizabeth Ann McCullough, Dr. Barb Burdge, Lt. B. Luke Scripture, Dr. Kevin Day, Talma High School class of 1963 graduate, Don Craig and Matthew Johnson.
