Clarence Ochel Music, 79, of Wabash, died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Paintsville, Ky. to Amos and Clara (Ratliff) Music.
Clarence was a US Army veteran. He retired from General Tire in Wabash. He was a member of Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church. Clarence enjoyed making ink pens, woodworking, and going to flea markets.
He is survived by his companion: Linda Music, Wabash; two children: Rose (Douglas) Staats, Wabash; Kenny (Margot Morgan) Music, Peru; five grandchildren: Levi Staats, Wabash; Reanna Staats, Kokomo; Kayleigh Music, Peru; Ashley Music; and Alex Sumpter, both of Peru; one great-granddaughter: Aliezah Staats, Wabash; sister: Erma Blair, Van Lear, Ky.; and his brother: Everett Music, Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Allen Music, who died Nov. 29, 2011, grandson: Chad Music; four brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, with Pastor Terry Hinds officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call 9:30-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund.
