Trojans Hold Off Wildcats
SOUTH BEND – Solid play from Triton’s top half of the lineup carried the team to a 3-2 win Wednesday at South Bend Riley.
Triton’s No. 1 and 2 singles each earned straight set wins while the No. 1 doubles team rolled to a win. Gavin Eads had no trouble with Jordan Karczewski, love and one, while Mace Eads beat Lee Ngoci 6-4, 7-5 for the singles wins for the Trojans. Dalton Bailey and Chase Butler took care of Sam Moran and Kal Wilson for the doubles win. Mace Eads’ win clinched the team victory for the Trojans.
Wildcat Dylan Gallup moved past Aaron Stichter in the No. 3 singles matchup. At No. 2 doubles, Ray Smith and Noel Jawarski closed out Brenden Damron and Keygan Moiser 6-4, 6-1.
Triton and Riley each had a JV win.
Triton (4-8 overall) return to the home court for a Monday matchup against Bremen.
