Warsaw SportsWARSAW – It took an entire night of volleyball, but Warsaw got the job done Wednesday against visiting East Noble in five games. Needing to break East Noble’s serve in the final game, Warsaw managed to get the break and closed out a 25-20, 18-25, 19-25, 25-23, 16-14 marathon at the Tiger Den.

Still missing senior starters Peyton Adamiec and Cassie Hoag, Warsaw had freshmen Erin Peugh and Kaci Bragg step up once again. Peugh led the team with six aces while Bragg had a big statline of 35 assists, 16 digs, two blocks and two aces. Lina Meyer had her usual workhorse night with 13 digs and 11 kills and Jordyn Lindeman came up with 10 big kills. Lexie Day added two blocks for the Tigers.

Warsaw, now 5-1 on its home court and 10-5 overall, will try its luck again Tuesday at Columbia City.

The Warsaw JV moved to 10-0 overall with a resounding 25-3, 25-11 win against East Noble in the night’s opener. Five different players led Warsaw in categories, with Alicia Sikora recording 15 assists, Raina Armey digging nine attempts, Nikki Parrett slamming home seven kills, Abby Serbousek sending home five aces and Katie Swanson blocking one attempt.
