AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley volleyball team finished in second place Saturday in the Garrett Invitational.

The Vikings defeated Fremont 2-1 and Hamilton 2-0 before losing to conference foe Whitko 2-0 in the title match of the eight-team tournament.

Whitko took home the tourney championship with Valley second. Hamilton was third, followed by Churubusco, Garrett, New Haven, Fremont and Eastside.

Valley, now 8-5, hosts Three Rivers Conference foe North Miami tonight. The Vikings then host Triton on Thursday evening.
