Though the weather seemed to be taking a stormy turn, Warsaw’s First Friday celebration marched on. September’s event, titled “United on the Porsche,” offered guests the chance to stroll the streets of downtown Warsaw to take in approximately 44 different Porsches.

The event kicked off at 5 p.m. and offered guests the opportunity to enjoy food, music and even pickle ball. A less traditional vehicle also made an appearance at the event — the Maple Leaf “Duckmobile.” The Duckmobile offered guests free samples of Maple Leaf fare.

Tunes were provided at the center stage from 6-9 p.m. by Band United. Dancers from Deb Collier’s School of Dance took the stage from 7:30-8 p.m.

Books were graciously provided by Manchester University following a donation to the school from Better World Books.

Vendors were placed on the courthouse lawn for guests to peruse after viewing the Porsches. Those looking to find a good read were invited to take free books provided by Better World Books and Manchester University. The give away included books for all ages.

September’s First Friday was sponsored by the City of Warsaw and the Dane & Mary Louise Miller Foundation.
