Cooper Adam Hecker, 8 months, of New Palestine, passed away on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at Riley Hospital for Children. He was born on Dec. 17, 2014, in Indianapolis as the son of Joshua Adam and Ashley (Collier) Hecker.

Super Cooper was known for his infectious smile. He loved his Sophie the giraffe, his blanky, sucking his thumb, and playing his piano. He adored his brothers and they could really make him laugh. Cooper enjoyed his Mommy’s kisses and holding his Daddy’s hand.

Cooper is survived by his loving parents: Ashley and Joshua Adam Hecker, New Palestine; two big brothers: Colin and Connor Hecker, New Palestine; grandparents: Ron and Debbie Collier, New Palestine; Barry Hecker and Cheryl Threewits, Pierceton; aunts and uncles: Katie Collier, New Palestine; Danny Threewits, Union City; and Don and Boris Bolin, Freeport, Ill.; and several great-aunts; great-uncles; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother: Mabel Collier; and great-grandfather: Leon Hecker.

A memorial visitation will be held from noon until 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at New Palestine United Methodist Church, New Palestine. A memorial service will take place immediately following the visitation at 4 p.m. at the church. Pastor Mark Wesler and Joe Clark will officiate.
