The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

8:48 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, North CR 850E and East CR 250N, Pierceton. Drier: James Q. Cunningham, 46, Park Avenue, Fort Wayne. Ran off the road going around a curve. Cunningham complained of wrist pain but refused medical treatment at the scene. Damage up to $50,000.

5:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, East Prairie Street and South Canal Street, Leesburg. Driver: Alisha M. Eastwood, 31, North Aspen Drive, Warsaw. Hit cyclist. The cyclist, age 11, was transported to the hospital with complaints of injury to his head, left elbow, left hip and lower leg. He admitted to pulling out into the street on his bicycle without stopping. He was not wearing safety equipment. Damage up to $1,000.
