Stephen Michael Gillespie, age 65, of Baytown, Texas, formerly of Ligonier, passed away on June 10, 2015, in the Michael E. Bebakey VA Medical Center. He was born on Feb. 26, 1950, to Donald and Rosemary (Prucinsky) Gillespie in Kendallville.

He graduated from Ligonier High School in 1968. After high school, Steve enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably. He worked construction in Louisiana and Texas.

Surviving are his son: Daniel Shea, Ark.; mother: Rosemary Gillespie, Ligonier; two siblings: Michael (Melissa0 Gillespie, Colo.; and Christopher (Penny) Gillespie, Ligonier.

A graveside service will be held in Mr. Gillespie’s honor at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
