Ida Marie Harreld, 96, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.

Ida was born in Provo, Ky., on Jan. 8, 1919, the daughter of William and Phinis (McKenney) Green.

She was married on July 3, 1937, to Howard A. Harreld in Anderson. Marie was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the farm as well as tending to a large garden that kept her busy canning.

Marie loved to sing and was a member of the Elm Grove Christian Church where she volunteered with the Ladies Aid. She was also involved with the Keenagers at the Grace Baptist Church in Anderson.

After the passing of her husband, she moved to Plymouth in 2002.

Ida is survived by her daughter-in-law: Darlene Harreld; grandchildren: Robin (Gary) Neidig, Timothy Harreld, Randall (Ashley) Harreld and Philip (Sara) Harreld; 10 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; niece: Fran Folsom; nephew: Darrell (Sandra) Brizendine; many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sons, Robert Gene “Bobby” and James Allen Harreld.

Visitation in Plymouth will be held from 5–7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Visitation in Anderson will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel where services will begin at noon. Pastor Matt Elliott of the Plymouth Grace Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow.
