INDIANAPOLIS— Elite Gymnastics Coach, Marvin Sharp, owner of the well-known Sharp’s Gymnastics in Indianapolis, has been arrested on an initial charge of child molesting.

Authorities, including IMPD officers and state police troopers, through the crimes against children unit, raided his northwest Indianapolis home Sunday, Aug. 23. He was taken into custody after being questioned in the authorities mobile command unit.

K-9 units were brought in to aid the search and several boxes of evidence were seen being taken out of the home.

Sharp has a long list of accomplishments, including USA Artistic Coach of the Year and USA Gymnastics Elite National Coach of the Year.

The gym that Sharp owns was also raided. Officers were seen carrying several items from that location as well, but law enforcement officials have not confirmed anymore details of the investigation.
