Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

6:54 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, North CR 500E and East CR 950N, Syracuse. Drivers; Trevor A. Harter, 16, EMS B40 Lane, Leesburg, and Franklin R. Dush, 21, East CR 1100N, Milford. Harter hit a deep puddle and his vehicle hydroplaned into Dush’s vehicle. A passenger in Dush’s vehicle transported him to the hospital with leg and arm pain. Damage up to $25,000.

3:55 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, West US 30 and West CR 300N, Etna Green. Driver: Ronald L. Gustine, 78, East Taylor, Grant Park. Ill. Gustine fell asleep while driving and his vehicle went into the median, striking a post. Damage up to $5,000.

Pierceton

Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:

4:06 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, South SR 13 and Keith Street, Pierceton. Driver: Patricia H. Egolf, 76, Front Street, North Manchester. Egolf had a medical emergency and lost control of her vehicle, which hit two parked cars. She was transported to the hospital. Damage up to $10,000.

Syracuse

Officers with Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

3:29 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 1 Warrior Path, Syracuse. Drivers: Carlos M. Paramo Camargo, 17, East CR 1150N, Milford,  and Taylor R. Bontrager, 16, West Huntington Street, North Webster. Paramo Camargo backed his vehicle into the Bontrager vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

5:39 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, North Parker Street, north of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Leslie A. Oberg, 37, East 200n, Warsaw, and Frank S. Dirico, 55, North Aspen Drive, Warsaw. Oberg’s vehicle struck the back of the Dirico vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.

10:25 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, Dubois Drive, south of Provident Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Donna J. Renicker, 81, Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake. Renicker’s vehicle struck a traffic sign after turning onto a one-way street. Damage up to $2,500.
