Mrs. Shirley Mae Anderson, 68, formerly of Argos and Plymouth passed away at 4:42 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at Life Care Center of Rochester.

On Feb. 14, 1947, Shirley was born in Plymouth to Cecil Owen and Dorothy Irene Black Bixel. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School.

Shirley and Terry Anderson were married in 1981 and later divorced. As a homemaker, Shirley cherished the time spent with her family. Working in the healthcare system and being a Girl Scout Leader was very rewarding for her. She also liked to work in the field of cosmotology while living in Plymouth. To relax she enjoyed gardening and watching the birds at their feeders.

Shirley is lovingly remembered by a daughter: Meora (companion Elizabeth Goble) Anderson; a son: Ian Axel Owen (Korine)  Anderson, Plymouth; two grandsons: Brycen Anderson; Logan Anderson, Plymouth.

Preceding Shirley in death are her parents; her former husband; and half-sister: Joan Bixel.

Private family services will be held.
