LAPORTE – The NorthWood girls golf team collected a third-place finish in the New Prairie Invitational Tuesday.

The Panthers, led by Linnzie Richner, shot a 347 in the 12-team event held at the Legacy Hills Golf Club.

Richner fired a round of 78 to pace the Panthers. Summer Stillson shot an 82 and Mackenzie Weaver a 90. Madison Richner had a 97 and Abby Slabaugh a 110.

Chesterton took team honors with a score of 333. Pennwas second at 342, followed by NorthWood (347), Bremen (390) and LaPorte (399) to round out the top five teams.
