Family Fun, Doctor Who Style
Our own Doctor Who chef is coming up with some seasonal theme food for the next meeting in the adventures of Doctor Who, Season five. Season five has important characters that appear in later stories. The group meets a reptilian counterpart during the Wednesday meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29.
Rock Bottom Remainders
Mitch Albom and Dave Barry were both members of a literary rock band, “Rock Bottom Remainders.” Both are being featured in book discussions at the Syracuse Library. Barry is the featured author of Dysfunctional Book Club that meets at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 23. The adult book club, ‘One Book, One Hour’, is reading Have a Little Faith at August’s meeting. Albom’s book is a nonfiction story of the author’s experience with a former Rabbi and an inner city pastor. Copies of the book are available through Evergreen and by calling the library at (574) 457-3022. All meetings are free and open to any interested people.
