She and her husband spent much of their adult lives in Woodburn until moving to their lake home in Noble County in 1974.

She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Churubusco and in her leisure time enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, and most especially loved and cherished her family.
Mr. Rekeweg preceded her in death on April 4, 2009.
The surviving relatives include her children: Diann (Delart) Tews, New Bloomfield, Mo.; Paul (Nettie) Rekeweg, Woodburn; and Glen (Christine) Rekeweg, Coldwater, Mich.; daughter-in-law: Danni Rekeweg, Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Wayne Rekeweg; sister: Laura Zeller; and by three brothers: Edward Stein, Rudolph Stein; and Alfred Stein.

Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Woodburn.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Faith Lutheran Church, Churubusco, or to the donor’s choice.
