Hailey Green of Indianapolis is one of four finalists in this year’s Lay’s potato chips “Do Us A Flavor” contest.

Green learned of her status in the contest recently when Nick Lachey surprised her at her home to tell her that her potato chip flavor creation, Southern Biscuits and Gravy, was in the running for the $1 million prize.

Green said her inspiration for the flavor came from her grandparents’ recipe. She is up against three other flavors: Greektown Gyro, New York Reuben and West Coast Truffle Fries. Voting will begin July 27.

Even if she doesn’t win the first place prize, she is guaranteed to receive at least $50,000 in winnings.
