AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley Middle School sixth-grade science teacher, Jane Hunn, and Tippecanoe Valley High School Project Lead the Way teacher, Doug Heinold, were named by the local chapter of the Air Force Association, Chapter 411, as its Teachers of the Year. Hunn also was selected as the Indiana AFA Teacher of the Year for 2015 and will go on to compete at the national level.

These awards recognize classroom teachers for accomplishments and achievements in inspiring students in kindergarten through 12h grade in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math and in preparing them to contribute to these technologies.
Hunn receives an AFA jacket, lapel pins, citation and $1,000. Heinold receives a lapel pin, citation and $500.
