
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman has been arrested following a physical altercation involving a knife in May.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, at approximately 6:14 a.m. May 8, police were called to respond to a report of an unwanted person.
Upon arrival, officers identified a male subject with cuts on the left side of his stomach area, left arm and left leg. The individual alleged Amanda Mullins-Ulrey, 43, of 304 E. Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, had cut him with a knife.
According to officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, a video interview was recorded with Mullins-Ulrey in which she stated she had entered into an argument with the male subject and threw his belongings outside the residence. Mullins-Ulrey explained a physical altercation had then occurred between she and the male subject that led to her cutting him with a red knife.
An additional video interview then took place between officers and the male subject who stated he and Mullins-Ulrey were arguing when things began to escalate and she cut him with a knife.
The owner of the residence spoke with police and stated he had witnessed the altercation and had seen Mullins-Ulrey slashing the male subject. He also alleged the victim was screaming to get Mullins-Ulrey off of him, at which time she came at him with a knife.
The victim was treated by medics at the scene. Mullins-Ulrey to Kosciusko Community Hospital where she was admitted and treated for low blood pressure.
Mullins-Ulrey was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on July 9, for battery with a deadly weapon. Her bond was listed at $20,000 surety.
