Don ReedDon Dale Reed 83, Kewanna, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Friday July 10, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

He was born on April 11, 1932 in Kewanna, the son of William Sherman and Bessie (Eytcheson) Reed. On July 26, 1979, in Nashville, Tenn., he married Ruby Simmons and she survives.

Mr. Reed had been a farmer for many years and had worked for the Farm Bureau Elevator in Rochester and Fulton, Indiana for over thirty years. He had been a member of the Eagles Lodge and in his spare time loved to plant flowers, do woodworking and make sheds.

Survivors include his wife: Ruby Reed, Kewanna; children: Deb (Marvin) Hall, Napa, Idaho; Ed Reed, Macy; Mike (Joan) Reed, Rochester; Deanna Gibson, La.; Rita Brown, Indianapolis; Bill Brown, Deedsville; Phyllis Brown, Peru; Gary (Briquette), Texas; Rhonda Coby, Peru; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Esther Irene Cooley; Mildred B. Dice; Ruby Wildermuth; Jean Maxine Reed; Betty Kerby; Alberta Reed; and brother; Robert Reed.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 14, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Fulton, with the Rev. Tim Rentschler officiating. Friends may call from Noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Fulton.

Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton.
