Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:01 a.m. Saturday, July 11, North CR 300E and East CR 1100N, Leesburg. Drivers: Robert L. Tusing, 68, East CR 700N, Leesburg, and Sheila J. McGee, 44, EMS D8 Lane, Syracuse. Tusing failed to see the McGee vehicle due to a hill crest, pulling out in front of the McGee vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
4:14 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, Lake City Highway and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Omer Ergun, 30, Wading River Road, Manorville, N.Y., and Richard Sisney, 28, South China Place, Chicago, Ill. Damage up to $5,000. Due to slick roads Ergun’s vehicle slid and struck the back of the Sisney vehicle.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accidents:
12:50 p.m. Saturday, July 11, West Huntington Street and South Main Street, North Webster. Drivers: Franklin M. Eberstein, 54, East Davilla Court, Warsaw, and Jennifer J. Byrd, 61, West Avon Avenue, Marion. Eberstein backed his vehicle in traffic, hitting the Byrd vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
5:16 p.m. Friday, July 10, North SR 13 and East Backwater Road, North Webster. Drivers: Dustin J. Cloud, 26, CR 133, Syracuse, and Deborah D. Huff, 53, EMS W29B Lane, North Webster. Cloud’s vehicle struck the back of the Huff vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:18 p.m. Thursday, July 9, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Brooke A. Stahly, 26, West CR 450N, Cromwell, and Kelli R. Rolston, 31, West Boston Street, Syracuse. Stahly was backing from a parking space and did not see the Rolston vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:31 p.m. Saturday, July 11, North Detroit Street and East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Paul W. Bouse, 24, North SR 15, Milford, and Christopher R. Elder, 28, Nomandy Lane, Warsaw. Elder complained of pain to the lower leg but refused medical treatment at the scene. Bouse failed to stop for the traffic light and struck the Elder vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
6:19 p.m. Saturday, July 11, North Detroit Street and Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew L. Brown, 30, Clear Creek Trail, North Manchester. Brown looked away from the road, causing his vehicle to hit the curb. Damage up to $5,000.
5:29 p.m. Saturday, July 11, North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Larry A. Leek, 65, South Packerton Road, Winona Lake, and Nancy S. Tilden, 59, West Walnut Street, Akron. Leek backed his vehicle from a parking spot, hitting the Tilden vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
9:58 a.m. Saturday, July 11, North Detroit Street, north of West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Marlin L. Martin, 32, CR 13, Goshen, and Leola M. Nelson, 53, West CR 250S, Warsaw. Martin passed the Nelson vehicle on the left, when Nelson made a left turn colliding with a trailer hauled by Martin’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
8:26 a.m. Thursday, July 9, SR 15 south of Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Alyssa N. Gaerte, 21, West CR 1300S, Silver Lake, and Lisa M. Turnpaugh, 25, Alber Street, Wabash. Gaerte’s vehicle slid into the back of the Turnpaugh vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:50 a.m. Sunday, July 12, Kings Highway and Wood Street, Winona Lake. Driver: Skyler M. Mattingly. Police were called to a property damage accident on Wood Street, where a vehicle had left the scene. The homeowner described the vehicle which police located. Damage up to $5,000.
11:16 a.m. Thursday, July 9, Park Avenue, north of Administration Boulevard, Winona Lake. Drivers: Nicole S. Smith, 36, East Legacy Lane, Winona Lake, and Skyler Z Doll, 19, Fir Road, Bourbon. Smith was backing from a parking space and did not see the Doll vehicle turning from Administration Boulevard. Damage up to $5,000.
