Linda L. Hockert, age 77, of Nappanee, died at 8:12 pm, Friday, June 26, 2015, at Elkhart General Hospital after a short illness. She was born March 2, 1938, in Gravelton to Virgil and Pansy (Biller) Stump. She lived her lifetime in this area. She was a 1956 graduate of Nappanee High School. On Aug. 8, 1958, she married Fred Hockert in Nappanee. He preceded in death July 11, 2013.

Linda had provided Amish transportation for 20 years. Prior to that she had worked at Ascot in Nappanee. She enjoyed her friendships she had made within the Amish Community.

Surviving is a daughter: Beth (Brad) Sechrist, Nappanee; granddaughters: Bella and Beighlor Sechrist; and a brother: Jack (Nita) Stump, Silver Lake. She was preceded in death by a son: Brad “Rocky” Hockert.

As Linda had requested, following cremation, her cremains will be buried next to Fred and Rocky at South Union Cemetery.
