Louis Philip Sandoz, husband, father, and dear friend passed away on Jan. 13, 2015. He was born on Oct. 13, 1932, in South Bend, to Dr. and Mrs. Louis Sandoz. Phil graduated from Culver Military Academy and Ohio Wesleyan University and completed pilot training in the USAF.

Phil flew for SAC based in Kansas and the arctic regions. He married his college sweetheart, Myrna Prestien the week after graduation from college and they enjoyed a beautiful and loving relationship until Myrna’s death from cancer on April 14, 1992.

Phil and Myrna had two children: Elizabeth Sandoz; and Robert Sandoz. Louis is blessed with two grandchildren: Leona and Griffin Sandoz. Phil married a longtime friend Barbara Grey on Aug. 14, 1994 in Ho-Ho-Kus N.J. Phil and Barbara retired to Venice, Fla.

Interment service to be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in North Manchester.
