Susie Honeycutt, 70, Nappanee, died at 6:42 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

She was born Jan. 8, 1945. Her parents were Charles and Lula Slabaugh. On May 25, 1963 she married Jerry Honeycutt at the Union Center Church of the Brethren, Nappanee.

He survives along with a son: Chris (Mayumi) Honeycutt, Honolulu, Hawaii, and a daughter: Mary (Brett) Haines, Goshen; three grandsons: Kai, Riley and Danny; a granddaughter: Porsha; and a brother: Bob (Sandy) Slabaugh, Wheeling, W.V.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Pat Bartell.

Susie was a Graduate of Nappanee High School and a lifetime area resident. She had worked as a dispatcher for the Nappanee Police Department for 15 years.

A graveside service will be held at Union Center Cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015.
