Leila L. Emmons, age 74, Plymouth, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, in Mishawaka.

Leila was born on Feb. 16, 1942, in Plymouth, to Loren M. and Mildred G. (Myers) Dinkledine. Leila was a clerk for the Marshall County Recorder’s Office, during which time she made many friends. She also enjoyed working part-time at the Tri-Way Golf Course. She had been a lifetime resident of Marshall County.

Leila is survived by her daughter: Debra L. Emmons, Plymouth; her son: Douglas L. (SuAnn) Emmons, Bumpus Mills, Tenn.; sister: Lorna Zartman, LaPaz; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Leila was preceded in death by her parents: Loren M. and Mildred G. Dinkeldine; and her son: Dennis L. Emmons Jr.; on March 24, 2012.

Private services were held, officiated by Rev. Dr. Sam Boys. Burial was in Fairmont Cemetery.
