Ted J. Lambert, 79, North Manchester, passed away at 1:38 p.m. June 14, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Sept. 4, 1935, in North Manchester to William B. Lambert, deceased; and Hazel (Glaze), deceased. On April 6, 1957, he was married to M. Louise Monce. She preceded him in death Jan. 4, 2001. On June 14, 2003, he married Rebecca K. Wright, she survives.
He graduated from Central High School in 1953. He served in the US Army from 1954-1956 in Germany. He liked to tell stories, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Lambert enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was a good Christian man.
Lambert retired from GTE Wabash in 1998. He was a bus driver for Manchester Community School System for 10 years retiring in 2012. He was a U.S. Army veteran and attended Olive Branch Church of God, Roann.
He is survived by his sons: Steven M. Lambert, Plainfield; Jay (Robyn) Lambert, Claypool; Greg A. Wright, Indianapolis; daughters: Robin S. Lambert, Warsaw; Mindy S. Benton Flora, North Manchester; brothers: Wayne (Phyllis) Lambert, Fort Wayne; Raymond (Margaret) Lambert, Syracuse; Lenora Norris, Larwill; five grandchildren; three great-grandchilren.
He was preceded in death by a son; a daughter; 10 brothers; and seven sisters
Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at McKee Morturay, 1401 SR 114W, North Manchester. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. June 19, at Olive Branch Church of God, 4581 E. CR 1200N, Roann. Pastor Jeff Sumner will officiate. Burial will be held in Enterprise Cemetery, Roann. Calling will also be held one hour prior to the funeral services.
